Transcoding
KLASH transcodes uploaded files into 1080p HD and 480p by default. On KLASH, the uploaded file is referred to as the Original. You can view and download files of the desired format and codec. With KLASH, you can design your transcoding workflow.
Designing your transcoding workflow and fast track
With the fast track for MP4 files, you can disable transcoding on KLASH and make the files instantly available after upload. By this method, it's also possible to prevent recipients of files from downloading any format or codec other than the one you uploaded. Please note that this feature only works with MP4 files.
Enable fast track by the following steps:
Navigate to the project where you want to enable fast track, click Settings, and then Proxies.

Disable all proxies.
Click Save.
You can set KLASH to only generate a proxy file if the uploaded format and codec don't support playback by the following steps:
Select None in the dropdown menu for Enable HD proxies.
Disable or enable SD proxies.
Click Save.
Playback
Click Quality in the control bar in the studio on KLASH to change the video resolution. There can be different resolutions depending on your transcoding settings. The Original is always the file that was uploaded, independent of your settings.
Note: If you experience problems due to a poor internet connection, try lowering the resolution.
