About KLASH
KLASH helps creators in the media and entertainment industry work faster and better through a combination of cloud-based asset management, collaboration, and feedback. The main customers are agencies, brands, filmmakers, and game developers.
The company was founded in Sweden by Fredrik Munthe, Alexander Arvidsson, and Christofer Pak. The beta version of the KLASH platform was launched in the spring of 2020.
Why the name KLASH? A great movie or game is rarely the result of a team working in total harmony, where everyone gets along, and there are no obstacles in the way. Quite the contrary. It is best, and you get the furthest, when ideas are bumped, and wet, arguments are sharpened, solutions are tested, and people with different professional roles together find an expression, a message. A kind of collision of ideas, in other words, where the best solution is washed out.
One of KLASH's first bigger customers was the national broadcaster in Sweden - the Swedish Television (SVT) - where the team won a procurement in fierce competition with several international tech giants in the summer of 2020. With some 2,300 co-workers, investigative journalism content, and breaking news that can move the stock exchange, the KLASH platform needed cutting-edge features in terms of ease of use, onboarding, and AAA security. This was a fairly high mountain to climb for a team of a handful of engineers in Sweden, to say the least, but the results were a success.
KLASH continued to grow with some of the biggest names in the industry. Not only in filmmaking, but also in game development. Among KLASH's customers are the BBC, Fremantle, Remedy, Funcom, and Behaviour Interactive, to name a few.
KLASH is a proud member of the Trusted Partner Network, powered by the Motion Picture Association (MPA), and committed to building and supporting a strong community network dedicated to keeping content safe.
The company is independent from any content owners and technology providers. It is owned by the company founders, private, and institutional investors.
The headquarters are in Stockholm, Sweden, but the team works from all over the world.
