Real-time livestreaming title.

We are happy to announce that we just launched Klash innovative and high quality real-time live streaming feature. It will be available for Enterprise users in the first phase, with the plan to roll out the feature for Premium users in the next phase. Stream up to 4K UHD with sub-second latency to solve problems related to time and distance. Want to collaborate just as easily as you would in the same room, but you're on the other side of the globe? Klash got you covered! Start a live stream with a single click and anyone in your team can tune in and collaborate in real-time. Just like "Over the shoulder" collaborations, but from anywhere. It has never been easier.

The real-time live streaming feature is fully integrated in Klash studio. Making the threshold to get started extremely low, since you can use the interface you’re already familiar with. Easily create a stream, send a share link with sophisticated security options, and you're all set.

What makes Klash streaming unique?

Klash streaming platform produces results unmatched by other communication tools, such as conferencing or voice calls solutions. The platform uses a special collection of protocols and codecs developed for low-latency peer-to-peer stream communication allowing us to achieve ultra low latency, at around 500 milliseconds on average, without compromising quality. We allow up to 4K UHD streaming with hardware acceleration, compatible with most hardwares today.

Most of today’s streaming platforms use protocols such as LL-HLS (Low Latency HTTP Live Streaming) or SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), however these do not offer sub-second latency and are usually between 1 and 3 seconds latency. This is fine for most use cases, but it can quickly become a problem when you need real-time interaction, such as in real-time edit reviews, over the shoulder collaborations and live streaming from cameras at film shootings. Use cases from other industries, where low latency and real-time interaction is critical, are virtual events, live auctions, e-learning, sports & gaming and remote surgery.

The Klash platform utilizes WebRTC to get sub-second latency. WebRTC is the protocol used in most conferencing solutions today. However, that on its own will not provide the quality needed for precise video and image collaboration, like color grading. With Klash, codecs are carefully selected to ensure a high quality and ultra low latency stream.

Can I use my existing encoding boxes with Klash?

Yes! The streaming solution is fully compatible with any encoding box or hardware that can output an RTMP stream to the Klash server. The RTMP stream will be repackaged and delivered to each viewer using ultra low latency protocols. It is also possible to connect your on-set cameras directly to Klash, so your colleagues can see what's going on without having to be on the set itself.

Using external hardware to stream to Klash gives you full control over your streaming settings, codecs and composition. Klash will make sure to deliver this to your users quickly and in high quality.

Great! How do I get started?
