Sharing links with external users

With KLASH, you can share files with external users with nothing more than a link. The recipient gets a simplified studio and does not have to register or sign in to KLASH. Links can be protected with a password, two-factor authentication, watermarking, time windows, and a limited number of views.

Creating a Share link

Create a Share link by the following steps:

  1. Click on the Share button top-right in the studio.

  1. Select a Share name. Share names are only displayed for your team members, not the share recipients.

  1. Click Security, and select between Open access, Password, Email Two-Factor, or Phone Two-Factor.

  1. Enable or disable commenting and downloading of files.

  1. Optionally, add a personal message which will be included in the email.

  1. If you picked two-factor authentication as the security option, you need to add the recipient's email address or mobile phone number.

  1. Click Create.

Note: You must be a member or admin to be able to create Share links. Your account holder can force password or two-factor authentication protection on links.
