Comparing files
Compare files by the following steps:
Navigate to the version drop-down menu in the header of the studio.
Click Compare.
Select the source for the left and right window and sound. Additional settings can be found under the cogwheel.
Click the cogwheel for Mirror drawing and Zoom settings.
Click X in the version drop-down menu to leave comparison mode.
Additional settings for split-screen comparison
Mirror drawing lets you draw in the left or right window, and have the drawing mirrored in the other window.
Mirror zoom lets you zoom in or out in the left or right window, and have the zooming mirrored in the other window.
Note: You can compare any file type with any other file type. Files must be located in the same project.
If two videos have different frame rates, you may see a warning about the reference frame being different from the main source, and the frame numbers in the left and right windows not matching exactly. The frame is determined from the main video and the reference video is set to match the time in seconds of the main video. This means that the two videos always have the same timestamp, but their frame numbers or SMPTE time codes can be different.
